One more update...

A reassuring tidbit that I found out earlier today: My mom said that when my dad is falling asleep, or going through his sleep/dream cycles at night, his leg twitches. He has done this forever she said. She noticed that while he's still sedated (not paralyzed, like I thought), he's doing his leg thing. So normal. She witnessed this earlier today when she sat with him in his room.

And yet another piece of encouraging news....he was responding to stimuli--being poked and what not, and he's fluttering his eyes as if he's trying to wake up, but can't because he has to still be sedated because of the cold protocol. But, that is encouraging and is helping us to be able to sleep at night. :)
